Ridge Ave. Bridge over the Stillwater River
This project replaced a two-span steel girder bridge constructed in 1927, with three spans of pre-stressed concrete I-beams on reinforced concrete wall type abutments and wall type piers. The three bridge spans are: 61’ – 89’ – 61’. Ridge Ave. was realigned between Riverside Dr. and DeWeese Parkway. The roadway is 35’ wide with 10’ sidewalks, an improvement over the 6’ sidewalks on the old structure.
